HOLLAND Shore Boxing Club's Blake Housman scored his second unanimous points win in four weeks on the Turners show at Camberley, in Surrey.

Up against the more experienced Muhamed Armed, from Berinsfield Amateur Boxing Club, he worked hard from the first bell.

Being a larger ring than normal suited the smooth-moving Armed.

However, Housman would not let him settle by constantly cutting the ring off with good foot movement before opening up with heavy-handed head and body combinations to win a close first round.

With both boys showing plenty of class and commitment, the second was again close as fortunes swayed.

However, it was Housman who was making the fight, constantly walking forward and unloading loose, relaxed combination punches.

Boxing away from home can be hard, so even after two close rounds Housman still had it all to do.

He stepped up to the plate again, though, as he walked onwards, keeping Armed backed to the ropes as heavy combinations kept the Berinsfield lad intent on defence with Housman clinching a unanimous decision.

Also up for Holland Shore on the Turners show was the classy Arnie Dawson, who lost out on a close points decision when up against St Mary's Luke Carter.

Dawson was a little slow to react in the first round as Carter's left-hand leads kept him on the outside to win a close round.

Dawson's workrate improved in the second as several right-hand, left-hook combinations found their mark.

Although Carter's left-hand leads still kept him in contention, knowing he was a little behind going into the third and with his opponent now looking tired, Dawson walked on to Carter, opening up with heavy three and four-punch combinations to win the third round, although losing out on a points decision.

Fred Baynham was next up for Holland Shore when meeting the host club's Mel Ryan in a lively skills contest.

Baynham began well, taking the bout to his taller opponent with sharp double left hands followed by heavy right hands to win a comfortable first round.

Ryan kept on the move in the second, keeping Baynham on the outside as he levelled a close round, but in the third it was all Baynham again as he closed down on the moving Ryan before unloading with heavy-handed combination punches to finish a lively skills.
