CLACTON Golf Club's Samuel Teer has qualified for the Titleist and Footjoy PGA Professionals National Championships.
He booked his place after shooting -3 (69) and finishing third in a qualifier at Gog Magog Golf Club, in Cambridge.
He has now qualified to play at Luttrellstown Castle Golf and Country Club, in Dublin, from June 13 to 16.
Meanwhile, Clacton's men played the club's Centenary Salver competition.
Peter Hewett won with nett 67 points.
In second was Robert Meekings, with nett 68, on countback from third-placed James Hanks.
Clacton's ladies continued their winning streak when they travelled to The Burstead, at Billericay.
Although it was quite blustery and fairly chilly, they managed a 4-3 victory - their fourth on the trot.
Two of the team had to play on to the 19th hole.
One of these was successful and one just missed out.
It was another great team effort, supported by six caddies.
Clacton's juniors played in their Youth Shield match against Colne Valley and won 4-1.
