CLACTON Golf Club's ladies' Essex Golf Union Bronze team enjoyed victory in their match against Colne Valley.
The team consisted of captain Chris Crossfield, Brenda Lord, Sonja Strutt, Pat Messenger, Jennie Corbyn, Di Kedge and Kathy Sinnott.
They won by five matches to two.
The two lost matches were very well contested, on the 18th and 19th greens.
The weather was good and the course is improving, albeit very dry.
Elsewhere, Clacton's juniors played their April Stableford and the winner was Thomas Pirie, with 36 points.
In second was Liam Leach, with 33, in third was Harrison Dove, with 31.
Clacton PGA teaching professional Sam Teer obtained third place in the PGA East of England qualifying school Order of Merit.
Playing at the Essex Golf and Country Club over two days, Teer returned plus three for the 36 holes.
The winners of the East of England Order of Merit are invited to play in the BMW Championship at Wentworth.
