WALTON Indoor Bowls Club staged an end-of-season charity drive at the Columbine Centre on Saturday and raised £473 for the haematology unit at Colchester General Hospital.
It was a wonderful effort from a small club and the members turned out in force to play their part in an enjoyable afternoon.
Although many have now said goodbye until September, as they have gone to play outdoors, there are still enough friendly matches to keep the indoor players involved throughout the summer.
