CLACTON Golf Club’s junior section played their February stableford and Thomas Pirie won with a nett score of 40.
In second was Henry Goodwin, with 39, and in third was Joshua Bethell, with 38.
Elsewhere, Clacton’s seniors played their Four Club competition and the winner was Anthony Spark, with 42 points.
In second was Robert Black, with 40 points, on countback from third-placed Terry Musselwhite.
Alf Smith, Clacton's Pheasant Plucker Golf Society captain for 2016, handed over a cheque for £2,472 to Mussara Gray, community fundraiser for the the Alzheimers Society covering Essex, Hertfordshire and Suffolk.
The Pheasant Pluckers have been in existence since 1990 and meet every Wednesday throughout the summer months.
They aim to raise funds for their captain's nominated charity.
