FC CLACTON boss Kieron Shelley says confidence is flowing through his squad - and that his in-form players fear no-one.

The Seasiders continued their revival with a 2-0 victory at home to Haverhill Rovers in the Thurlow Nunn League premier division on Monday afternoon.

It was their third home win in a row and stretched their unbeaten run to four games.

Now they face the side directly above them, Walsham-le-Willows, in a key contest on Saturday.

“We’ll go there with the same attitude and no fear whatsoever," said Shelley.

“We’ll go and play our football and try and turn them over.

“Hopefully we can kick on and pick up another three points.

“This month is vital and we have to target ten points.

“That’s our aim and it’s achievable, because we don’t fear anyone.

“The only side we’ve come up against that have been really good are Mildenhall.

“That’s why they’re sitting clear at the top of the table.

“But we know the team we have shouldn’t be sitting second from bottom.

“If we’d had this squad at the start, with a bit of momentum behind us and everyone knowing what they need to be doing, we’d be top-five or six."

Shelley was delighted with his side's victory against Haverhill (see page 46).

However, he added: "It’s only three points and now we move onto the next one.

“We enjoyed it on the day but ever since we’ve just been focused on Walsham."
