BUDDING football star Cloe O’Brien has been picked for an FA regional England camp.

The talented 12-year-old, from Little Clacton, previously played for Arsenal and is now part of the Essex Centre of Excellence.

Now she is looking forward to her first taste of international action.

The camp will feature elite players from all over the south-east, including London.

They will be put through their paces during intensive training sessions and the camp is a stepping stone to England under-15 and under-16 action.

Dad Robert said: “We’re delighted and very proud of Cloe.

“She works so hard at training and at home and this is totally deserved, because she’s strong, skilful and fast and and that doesn’t happen by itself. She’s worked very hard for this opportunity.”

Tendring Technology College student Cloe travels across the country playing teams such as Arsenal, Chelsea and Bristol City.

She has dedicated her inclusion to nan Margaret, who is in hospital at the moment fighting illness.
