THE Millers Barn CHAPS Society are playing their last few competitions and four of the six finalists turned up to play for the Master Medal.

The remaining players played a stableford competition.

The Mater Medal was hard-fought by all four players, with no-one giving ground to the other.

All four returned very respectable scores on the day, with the first spot going to Rod Russell, carding 87-23-64.

This was right on par.

Third place went to Tom Murphy, carding 83-16-67, and fourth to Doug Chaplin, playing with a set of borrowed clubs as he had his stolen following a break-in to his garage.

As for the stableford game, the winner on the day was Dennis Bruce, returning 37 points.

Second place went to Rick License, with 36, and third to Alan Tye, with 34.

The front nine winner was Alan Bacon, with 22 points, and the back nine winner was Rick License, also with 22.

Next week sees the final competition, the Texas Scramble.
