THE draws have been made for the early rounds of the Thurlow Nunn League’s League Challenge Cup and First Division Knockout Cup.

In the former, STANWAY ROVERS have been paired with newly-promoted HOLLAND FC.

HALSTEAD TOWN will play host to Saffron Walden Town, while BRANTHAM ATHLETIC are at home to Hadleigh United.

Those first-round ties will take place on September 20.

The winners of the Stanway-Holland tie will then be away to FC CLACTON – creating the possibility of an all-Tendring showdown – while Halstead or Saffron Walden will be at home to Haverhill Rovers.

COGGESHALL TOWN, another promoted side, will take on the winners of the Brantham-Hadleigh clash.

The second-round ties listed above will take place on November 1, while WIVENHOE TOWN and Ipswich Wanderers will meet the following night, November 2.

As for the First Division Knockout Cup, Holland and Coggeshall – both promoted from the Essex and Suffolk Border League last season – face trips across the Suffolk border.

Coggeshall go to Stowmarket Town and Holland to Cornard United, on September 6 and September 7 respectively.

The winners of those ties then meet in the second round, on October 18.

Elsewhere in the second round, Halstead are at home to BRAINTREE TOWN RESERVES.

The Thurlow Nunn League fixtures are expected to be released in the next week.
