CLACTON tipster Dave Youngman has reflected on a successful flat racing season.

His followers have enjoyed many memorable winning moments.

Youngman said he was particularly pleased with the recent success of Mainstream, in the Queen’s silks at Nottingham, for trainer Sir Michael Stoute.

He had flagged it up as a horse to follow long before it made its racecourse debut.

“Another old friend, Satellite, was sold and left Newmarket last week,” added tipster Youngman.

“He landed us a monumental bet at Newbury this season but is now in training with Tim Vaughan, at Cowbridge, in South Glamorgan.

“Tim is going to race the horse over hurdles this winter and I hope the horse does well for his new stable and connections.”

Youngman (pictured) said he is already looking forward to March, when trainers have their horses working hard in preparation for the new season.

“Mainstream, Across the Stars and Ulysses are three colts that look set to make the pulse race next year,” he said.

“The first Frankel offspring have also arrived at some of the Newmarket yards.

“They look a bright bunch and I particularly like the one John Gosden is to train out of Dar Re Mi.

“He is a lovely colt with good bone and a well-topped type and, for a yearling, he has lovely patterns and a bold eye, which is always a good sign in a young horse.”
