CLACTON Cricket Club’s colts have won two championships.
Following in the footsteps of the club’s senior team, the young Seasiders won both the under-14 and under-16 titles.
Despite playing fewer games this year, both teams proved their quality by only losing one game between them.
Under-16 manager James Couchman said: “It’s a fantastic achievement by my players.
“I’ve watched them develop into fine young cricketers and they will represent the club’s senior team in the future.”
Under-14s manager Paul Taylor was also impressed with his squad and said it bodes well for next season.
Clacton’s under-12s and Jimmies teams also performed well in all departments, despite missing out on a title this season.
