HOLLAND FC shared the spoils from a 2-2 draw against Little Oakley, on Saturday.

Both sides finished in the top five of last season’s Essex and Suffolk Border League premier division, with Oakley runners-up and Holland fourth.

This meeting between the sides proved another tight affair, with Steve Eaton – who netted for FC Clacton against Brantham Athletic last Tuesday – and Rob Thorne scoring for Holland.

Holland were in front until the closing stages of the game, until the Acorns grabbed a late equaliser.

The coastal club now have two home games in a row, starting with Saturday’s match against Harwich and Parkeston.

Due to a late fixture change, the contest will now take place at Eastliff, with Holland’s future home games being held at Clacton’s Rush Green Bowl.

In Border League division one, WEELEY ATHLETIC made it four wins from five games, following a 3-2 victory against Bradfield Rovers.

They are away to Debden Sports Club in the first round of the Essex Premier Cup on Saturday.
