BLACKSMITHS Arms stormed back from behind to win 5-3 at Sokretez, in the Clacton & District Sunday League.
Sokretez were two-up but Blacksmiths pulled one back through Sam Thompson.
The hosts netted again early in the second half – only for Blacksmiths to fire in four without reply to win 5-3.
The Sokretez goal-scorers were Charlie Gibbs, Pat Olliffe and Jack Price. Blacksmiths’ marksmen were Jake Richardson, Henry Spiers and, with two more to complete his hat-trick, Thompson.
Great Oakley took the points after defending superbly against Queens Arms.
They took the lead after a Greg Lawrie effort was deflected in and went 2-0 up thanks to an own goal.
Queens Arms then pulled one back before Lawrie netted for 3-1.
Queens Arms scored again early in the second half, but Oakley held on for a well-earned 3-2 win.
Flag enjoyed a spectacular 21-2 victory against Coastal Rangers.
