FC CLACTON’S new under-21 side are preparing for their first-ever home game, on Saturday.
The young Seasiders entertain their counterparts from Frenford Senior (kick-off 2.30pm).
Ian Scott’s side are second in the Essex Olympian League under-21 table and undefeated in their four matches so far.
They have won three and drawn one and could go joint-top on Saturday.
Elsewhere, Clacton’s reserves returned to winning ways in Essex and Suffolk Border League division two, beating Brightlingsea Regent A 1-0 thanks to a goal from Callum Patterson.
Clacton’s under-18s lost 5-3 in their FA Youth Cup replay at Barking on Tuesday, with their goals scored by Reece Tomlin, Ben Justice and Steve Bruff.
