FC Clacton shipped three second-half goals as they fell to defeat at Thetford Town.

They lost their Thurlow Nunn premier division match 4-2.

The scores were level at the break as the sides went off tied at 1-1.

Karlos Andrade, who has re-signed for the Seasiders after a three year absence from the club, made the most of his return by hitting Clacton’s opening goal.

Andrade also hit a goal in the second half, but it wasn’t enough as the hosts put the ball in the back of the net three times after the break.

Brantham Athletic lost 2-1 to visiting Norwich United.

Two first-half goals from the visitors’ Matt Blake secured the three points.

In division one, Halstead Town secured a 2-1 victory against visiting Woodbridge Town.

It was a close encounter between the two sides in the opening part of the match.

But it was the visitors who made the breakthrough on 39 minutes.

Woodbridge Skipper Joe Langfield got on the end of a Jamie Scales corner to put the ball in the back of the net.

But Halstead got back into the game when Nick Miller headed home on 40 minutes.

After, the break the visitors had a chance to retake the lead but their striker lifted over the onrushing keeper and the bar.

Woodbridge then fired in a long range effort that went wide.

And, after a free-kick and into the box, the visitors managed to get a shot away but it hit the post.

Halstead came back into the game and went close when Lee Clowsley’s shot on the turn just went wide after he was found by Richard Abbott’s cross.

Wood bridge then suffered an injury blow when forward Josh Horton suffered a suspected broken leg after a one-on-one challenge with the Halstead keeper.

But Woodbridge then created two excellent chances that should have given them the lead but Halstead managed to get the ball away.

But it was the home side that made the breakthrough and grabbed the winning goal.

A good break from Abbott then released Jordan Hutchings who calmly put the ball in the back of the net.
