GREAT Bentley Running Club’s Joe Alexander won the inaugural Geoff Day 5km Memorial Race.
Seventy club runners, both past and present, lined up on the start line.
However, no-one was able to keep up with Alexander, who won the race in a time of 16 minutes and 34 seconds.
This was almost two minutes ahead of Russ Sharp and Chris Warren.
Vicky Presland (20m 40s) was first for the ladies, while Geoff’s dad, Alan Day, presented Alexander with the Geoff Day Trophy.
