CLACTON bowlers have enjoyed success in county competitions.
Dick Plummer has won through to the unbadged singles semi-finals, while Trevor Cole, Laurie Freeman, Peter Halliday and Phil Cooper have reached the North Essex Fours final.
Both these matches will take place at Thorpe on August 9.
In the Premier League, Clacton strengthened their lead at the top of the table after winning 6-2 at Frinton.
In the Stanford League, Clacton moved into second place behind Holland-on-Sea following an 8-0 victory at home to Parkeston.
In the Windsor League, Clacton A won 10-0 at home to Parkeston, while Clacton B won 8-2 at Brightlingsea.
In the ladies’ Tendring Hundred League, Clacton A drew 3-3 at Dovercourt B.
