Mixed fortunes in the Premier League
THERE were mixed fortunes for Clacton Bowls Club in the Premier League.
A 6-2 home win over Thorpe was followed by a 6-2 defeat at Wivenhoe A.
In the Stanford League, Clacton lost 6-2 at Thorpe and also went down 6-2 at home to Holland-on-Sea.
In the Windsor League, Clacton A won 10-0 at Happy Valley B.
Their other game this week fell victim to the weather.
Clacton B had an 8-2 win at home to Parkeston.
However, they went down 6-4 at Holland-on-Sea.
In the ladies’ Tendring Hundred League, Clacton A won 4-2 at Thorpe C.
