TENDRING Volleyball Club are gearing up for their last home games of the season.
Both the club’s men’s and ladies’ side are in action on Saturday, in a double-header at Tendring Technology College, in Frinton.
The ladies – top of National League division one – host Team Loughborough at 1pm.
The club’s men, also battling for promotion, then entertain Coventry and Warwick Riga, at 3pm.
“It’s a big weekend for the club,” said men’s player and ladies’ coach Nick Davies.
“Double-headers are always great and both teams will be looking to end their home campaigns on a high note.”
The ladies are five points clear of second-placed Team Birmingham, having played a game more, and after this weekend they finish with matches at City of Sheffield (April 11) and Tameside (April 12).
They had no game last weekend.
Tendring’s men’s team, meanwhile, are also in contention for promotion.
They sit fourth in National League division one and also have a big date on the cards next weekend when they face Team Essex in the National Shield final.
