HOLLAND Shore Amateur Boxing Club’s Oliver Dragisic celebrated an eye-catching win at a Five Star ABC show in Harold Hill.

He outpointed Finchley’s rugged Patrick McDonaugh.

Dragisic began impressively.

He caught his oncoming opponent with sharp left hands before opening up with heavy three and four-punch combinations.

Time and again, McDonaugh walked forward but was met with sharp counter-punches by St Osyth-based Dragisic.

The Finchley boxer tried hard in the second round but Dragisic was now bullying McDonaugh with heavy punches, connecting to head and body.

As hard as he tried, McDonaugh was caught with constant sharp combination punches.

The third round was tough for both boys, but the harder McDonaugh tried the more he was made to pay by the heavy-handed Dragisic.

The Holland Shore boxer was now keeping his opponent backed to the ropes.

Dragisic, who is beginning to look a seasoned boxer, controlled all three rounds to run out a convincing unanimous points winner.

Cain Upchurch also contested a tough skills bout against Finchley’s James O’Driscoll.

Both boys got involved from the bell.

The first round was tough, as they met in the ring centre.

The second round followed in the same manner, as fortunes swayed from one to the other and both gave their all, standing their ground.

Showing good foot movement and hand speed, there was nothing to choose between them in another tough third round.

First O’Driscoll and then Upchurch took control, with both boys showing good potential for the future.
