TENDRING Volleyball Club are “buzzing” ahead of this weekend’s National Shield semi-final showdown at York.
The Frinton side warmed up for the tie with a confidence-boosting 3-0 victory (25-22, 25-17, 25-19) against rivals Essex Blaze, at the University of Essex on Tuesday night.
It was an emphatic National League division one success, coming hot on the heels of last week’s 3-0 (25-18, 25-18, 25-20) victory against Birmingham.
And it was perfect preparation for Saturday’s contest at York (first serve 1.45pm).
“Everyone’s buzzing,” said Tendring player and chairman Alex Porter.
“Our players are on cloud nine after winning two matches.
“Confidence is high and that’s exactly what we need as the season draws to a close, with so many important matches on the horizon."
