GREAT Clacton fought back from behind to beat Pathfields 5-3, in group one of the Clacton and District Sunday League’s Division One League Cup.
Pathfields took an early lead through Danny Meskall.
However, the visitors levelled thanks to a fine drive from just outside the box by Grant Lewis.
The home side were soon back in front, after an own goal.
But Great Clacton’s three goals in five minutes before the break completely changed the game in their favour.
Kelvin Wakefield and John de Loup (2) were the men on target.
The second half was goal-less for a long time, until Danny Meskall scored his second for Pathfields.
That set up a grand finale, but, from a corner, the visitors broke with de Loup completing his hat-trick to score a fifth and take home all three points.
