A SMALL band of Clacton Sharks travelled to Hornchurch for an Essex Mini League gala.
The club have not competed in a mini event for two years, so for many of their swimmers (pictured) it was their first taste of competitive action.
All of them did very well and many achieved personal bests.
The team finished fifth overall.
Clacton swimmers: Girls: Jemima Boughey, Rosie Low, Evie Scott, Tabitha Kennedy, Mia Lawrence, Sophia Boughey, Mille Hearne, Jessica Gibson and captain Olivia Whyte. Boys: Joseph Griggs, Daley Walker Wallace, Maxim Olekey, T-Jay Walker Wallace, Lewis Overton, Jack Gibson, Luke Bellyou, Samuel Warne, Jocab and Zach Tidy, Lucca Kennedy, Sam Foley and captain Tommy Whyte.
The youngsters did their club proud and are now looking forward to the next Mini League event, at Havering, on April 11.
