WALTON Indoor Bowls Club came through a busy week with three fine victories from their three matches.

The Clacton and Kirby outdoor clubs both left the Columbine Centre defeated in games that could have gone either way.

But Walton saved the best till last when they travelled to take on the powerful Colchester club and won by the wide margin of 127-67.

Clacton made a fight of it and actually managed to win on one rink, but a big victory for a quartet skipped by Roy Norton got Walton home 85-63.

Kirby were next up and that provided a selection headache.

For nearly all their players are also members at Walton and had to decide which team to play for.

Tony Summerton, who turned out as skip for Walton two days earlier, this time played against them and proved a winner, but overall Walton scraped home 75-69.

They won on five rinks and drew the other one to romp home 127-67.

Every member of the team chipped in and did their bit to make light work of what threatened to be a hard job.
