A late penalty saw Wivenhoe Town sink FC Clacton in their Thurlow Nunn premier division derby.
The Dragons took a 3-2 win in the 95th minute of the game from the penalty spot on Tuesday night at Broad Lane.
Peter Maina opened the scoring for Wivenhoe with a 25-yard strike on 22 minutes.
But Kevin Coyle smashed home an equaliser on 28 minutes at the far post for the Seasiders after a cross wasn’t dealt with by the home defence.
And Coyle wasn’t finished as he made it 2-1 to the visitors seven minutes later with a 40-yard strike.
Aaron Condon almost made it 3-1 when his effort crashed off the bar just before the half-time break.
Early in the second half, Condon thought he had made it 3-1 but his effort was ruled out for offside.
But it was Wivenhoe who scored next when, on 65 minutes, Reece Keating made it 2-2 from a Maina cross.
But in a late twist the Dragons were awarded a penalty in injury-time after the Seasiders’ Lee Peacock was sent off for handball.
Lewis Blanchett then made no mistake with the spot-kick to snatch the win.
