THREE students from Clacton’s Toyakwai Karate Club tasted success at a black belt grading, in Witham.
They were joined by 20 other hopeful students from across the country at the national Toyakwai Karate Association event.
The Clacton trio were brothers Sam and Jack Scott and Lee March.
And each of them did themselves and their club proud, receiving a unanimous pass mark from all five instructors.
The boys were three of only four students to achieve that feat, with others passing or failing through majority decision.
