BRIGHTLINGSEA REGENT striker Ben Newson hopes his side’s free-scoring ways continue as long as possible.

The Tendring side have won four games in a row, with goals flying in from all areas of the pitch.

Newson himself has nine, as has Phil Kelly, while other healthy contributions have come from the likes of Russell Malton (six), Michael Brothers and Ricky Griggs (both four).

Regent will be hoping to make it five wins in a row when they host Ryman Premier side WITHAM TOWN in the Robert Dyas League Cup tonight.

And Newson said: “It’s good that the goals are coming from all over the pitch.

“That can only benefit the whole team and it’s the sign of a good team, because everyone’s getting on the scoresheet."
