FC CLACTON manager Glenn Eldridge says his players will relish their FA Vase showdown with Stanway Rovers.
The rivals are set to meet in an eagerly-anticipated second qualifying round tie at the Hawthorns on Saturday (kick-off 3pm).
Clacton’s confidence was pricked following last weekend’s 1-0 defeat at home to Walsham-le-Willows.
But prior to that they had won five in a row – and Eldridge insists his side will be in confident mood for their trip to Colchester.
“We’ve always done well and given a decent account of ourselves in derby matches,” said the Seasiders boss.
“But we know how tough it’s going to be on Saturday.
“We’ve grown as a team but this is going to be a real test, to see how far we’ve come."
