SOME of the country’s best up-and-coming tennis players are set to show off their skills in Frinton.

Three of the top-ten British aces, including Wimbledon wild card entry Ed Corrie, will be among those in action at the Aegon Pro-Series Men’s $15k event.

The prestigious competition begins at Frinton Lawn Tennis Club on Sunday and will continue throughout the week, with the finals scheduled for Saturday week.

Entry is free and spectators are welcome.

“From the club’s point of view, it’s so great to have the Pro-Series back again after two years away,” said Frinton club manager Kim Willetts.

“In 2012, our courts were flooded and the tournament, which is very high-profile, had to move at the very last minute to Felixstowe.

“Felixstowe then retained the event in 2013, but we’ve managed to win it back this year so we’re very happy.”
