CLACTON Rugby Club’s Matt Mahoney has admitted having “positive chats” with players interested in joining his newly-promoted side.
The head coach has made no secret of the fact extra strength in depth will be needed for the challenge of London League rugby.
And he says he has already had interest from potential recruits interested in joining the ambitious Seasiders.
Clacton are preparing for their first-ever season in London League division three north-east, having been promoted from the Essex League.
“I’ve had some very positive chats with players interested in joining us,” said Mahoney.
“There’s no doubt we need to recruit new players, to give us more strength in depth.
“We need extra numbers and that extra bit of quality, because it’s going to be a very tough and challenging season."
