CLACTON Sailing Club are hosting a Push the Boat Out event at Holland Haven, on Saturday and Sunday.

The event is part of a national initiative and will give the public a chance to try their hand at sailing in one of the club’s boats.

Full instructions will be given and a safety boat will be on hand.

Buoyancy aids are provided and there is no charge.

Anyone interested must wear old clothes and soft plimsoles or trainers.

Also bring a complete change of clothes and shoes.

Changing rooms and showers are available, with car parking in the boat compound.

Children must be signed in by a parent, who must stay on site.

Sailing times are from 10am until 1.30pm and 3.30pm until 6pm on Saturday and 10am until 1.15pm on Sunday.

Alternatively, visitors are welcome to watch the activities from the club-house.
