JAMES Denyer has become Clacton League men’s champion – at the age of just 17.
He became one of the youngest holders of the title at last week’s Closed Championships, sponsored by Paul Newbould Planning and Building Design Services.
In the final he overcame reigning champion Kevin Gowlett, avenging his defeat by the same player in last season’s final.
