FC CLACTON manager Glenn Eldridge hopes his side put any nerves on the back-burner and enjoy Saturday’s final game of the season against Thetford.

The Seasiders could yet be sucked through the relegation trapdoor, if they lose and other results go against them.

They are just one point above the Thurlow Nunn League premier division drop zone, following Tuesday’s 3-2 defeat at home to Godmanchester Rovers.

Eldridge said: “It’s going to be an exciting last day and I’m sure people’s phones will be red-hot with news from other games.

“But I’m not going to put more pressure on the boys by saying we’ve got to do this and got to do that.

“In the second half the other night I told them to go out and enjoy themselves and that’s exactly what they did.

“Maybe that’s the route we’ve got to take on Saturday.”
