FC CLACTON’S Ally McInnes is confident his side can avoid the relegation trapdoor.
The Seasiders are 15th – three points above third-from-bottom Thetford – heading into the last week of the Thurlow Nunn League season.
They have a premier division date at Walsham-le-Willows this weekend, before home matches against Godmanchester Rovers on Tuesday and Thetford next Saturday.
And right-back McInnes believes his side will stay up – despite suffering a 3-0 defeat at neighbours Brightlingsea Regent on Monday.
“I think we’ll get out of it,” he said.
“I’m confident and feel we’ve got the squad to do it."
