HOLLAND Shore Amateur Boxing Club’s Euan Cavell extended his unbeaten run when beating Castle’s Luke Andrews in two rounds on a Southend show.
Despite giving away height and weight, he went to work from the first bell, walking on to his opponent and giving him little room.
Halfway through the first round, Andrews was rocked time and again by heavy head punches coming his way and he started to look weary.
Again, in the second round, Cavell kept his opponent backed to the ropes, where three-punch combinations resulted in a standing-eight count.
Andrews was still trying to fight back, but the St Osyth-based boxer would not be denied as more head shots took their toll before a second standing count resulted in a early stoppage.
