Kirk: no one cares about our plight
GARY Kirk has questioned whether anyone cares about Clacton Cricket Club’s plight.
The Seasiders recently withdrew from the Gibbs Denley East Anglian Premier League, following a financial settlement with Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs.
Manager Kirk says the club would have gone bankrupt otherwise, because they were facing a bill relating to costs and expenses that could have run to £10,000.
However, having reluctantly made their decision, long-serving Kirk says there has been no support or feedback and questions whether anyone “gives a damn”.
