Texas glory for Clacton seniors trio
CLACTON Golf Club’s seniors played a three-man Texas scramble.
The winners were past captain Robert Gillespie and his team of John O’Regan and Geoff Manning, with a nett medal score of 54.
In second were Peter Wiggins, Dave Cocker and Bill Highstead, with a nett 56, on countback from third-placed Dave Hobbs, David Bell and Doug Nichols, also with a nett 56.
Sixty-six players took part in total.
