TENDRING Volleyball Club can take strides towards a promotion double this weekend.
Both their men’s and women’s teams have key, top-of-the-table fixtures at Tendring Technology College, in Frinton, on Sunday.
And if both are successful, it would go a long way towards making their double promotion dream a reality.
Tendring’s men entertain unbeaten leaders London Docklands at 1pm, before the club’s women – clear at the top of four points clear at the top of their division – take centre stage against one of their main rivals, Dulwich Tuskers, at 3pm.
“It’s a huge weekend for the club and we’re hopeful we’ll get a decent crowd to support us,” said Tendring chairman Alex Porter.
“It makes such a difference and gees the players up, because you can hear the crowd during and between every point.
“Our record attendance is 130, for a men’s match against Wessex last season, but I’m hopeful we’ll have up to 100 there on Sunday.
“It’s a big day for both our teams."
