THE winning duo have been revealed in Clacton Golf Club’s seniors’ winter Top Dogs event.

They were past captain Ray Fage and Dave Gilbert, amassing 116 points.

In second were past captain John Willson and Michael Gurry, with 100 points, on countback from third-placed Doug Nichols and Rick Hale.

On a very warm, sunny Monday morning, 52 seniors set out to play in the club’s Febuary stableford competition and the winner, with an impressive 37 points, was Ray Crossfield.

In second was Alf Smith, with 32, just ahead of third-placed Joe Middleton, with 31.
