NEW FC Clacton manager Glenn Eldridge is ready and up for the challenge ahead.
The Seasiders’ former assistant boss has been promoted into the hot-seat following the club’s decision to part company with Phil Yearling, on Saturday.
Eldridge will take over until the end of the season, at least, and has confirmed that first-team skipper Tom Austin will be his assistant.
And after assessing his squad and speaking to his players, he is convinced there is more than enough talent to avoid relegation.
“It’s a big opportunity and a massive challenge, but I feel ready for it,” said Eldridge, who also runs the club’s under-18s. “I’ve been in contact with all the players and the feedback I’ve had has been really positive.
“Everyone seems happy and they’re looking forward to it."
