PHOENIX Archers have made a bright start to the new year.
There was a great turn-out of members from the Weeley-based club for the Clacton Archers competition, on Sunday.
They all did exceptionally well, shooting a Portsmouth round.
Once again, Phoenix archers came away with another selection of medals.
Jason Pretlove shot compound and achieved gold.
Chris Winnings also shot compound and came away with a silver.
The ladies also did well.
Emma Winnings struck gold in the bare bow and Julie Myddleton silver.
