LOUISE Hodgson has stepped down as manager of FC Clacton Ladies.

Hodgson was a pivotal figure, having been one of the first players to sign for the team when it was formed in 2006.

“With regret, we have to announce that Louise has stepped down for personal reasons,” said a Seasiders statement.

“Louise was one of the first players we signed up when the team was formed in 2006. She was made secretary shortly afterwards and has run it ever since.

“Since then the team has had some great times, culminating in being crowned Essex County Women’s League champions in 2012.

“We are extremely grateful for all her hard work.

“She will be incredibly difficult to replace and sorely missed.”

While Clacton look to find a new ladies’ manager, the team will be run by co-owner Stephen Andrews.

The team have struggled for numbers this season and urgently need new players.

If any ladies are interested, get in touch with Stephen on 07771 520157 or e-mail stephen@fcclacton.com Players must be aged at least 16 and available for games on a Sunday.
