NEW manager Phil Yearling says his decision to take the reins at FC Clacton was a “no-brainer”.
The 47-year-old is excited by the challenge ahead and keen to put his stamp on the coastal club.
He believes the “possibilities are endless” and can see “so much potential”.
Yearling’s first match was Saturday’s dramatic 3-3 draw at Felixstowe and Walton.
Now, weather and pitch-permitting, he is preparing for his first home game in charge – this weekend’s big Thurlow Nunn League premier division clash against basement boys Woodbridge.
“I’m very pleased and excited,” said Yearling.
“In the end, it was a no-brainer and I firmly believe myself and the club can help each other out.
“I’m feeling very positive and it’s an exciting challenge."
