FC CLACTON co-owner Stephen Andrews says his club plan to act swiftly in terms of appointing a new manager or management team.

And they may even be in a position to confirm something in the next few days.

The Seasiders are on the look-out for a new boss following Ray Turner’s decision to resign, last Friday.

Joint-assistants Glenn Eldridge and Phil Yearling are taking training this week and have been asked to lead the team in Saturday’s Thurlow Nunn League premier division match at Felixstowe and Walton.

“We’re hoping for a speedy resolution to the situation,” said Andrews, who runs the club along with chairman David Ballard.

“We hate the uncertainty and would like to get something sorted as soon as possible, even if only for the rest of this season.

“In the meantime, we’re very lucky to have two assistants of Glenn and Phil’s calibre.”
