CLACTON Swimming Club’s achievements were celebrated at their annual presentation evening.

The club has experienced a difficult time this year, both in and out of the pool.

It is testament to the hard work of many volunteers that the championships and presentation evening went ahead this year.

Clacton SC head coach Andy Jones presented the awards and said he had been impressed by all of the swimmers’ achievements.

Many of the club’s swimmers improved on their personal best times in their chosen races, which included the 2013 Club Championships.

In recognition of their achievements, every swimmer received a participation award and race certificates.

The club’s 45 event trophies, covering a variety of age groups, strokes and distances were presented to the race winners.

There was also a special mention for the club’s senior swimmers Amie-Louise Ansell (12 awards), Jack Wright (six awards) and Harry Whitehead (five awards).
