Canaries deal for talented teenager

A TALENTED teenage footballer from Frinton has been snapped up by Premier League club Norwich City.

Frinton and Walton under-14 captain Anthony Spyrou has been handed a contract by the Canaries until the end of the season, with the possibility of it being extended.

The 13-year-old forward, who has been a Frinton and Walton player since under-nine level, has battled the odds to achieve his success.

Just three years ago, he suffered from Osgood Schlatters disease which limited the amount of football he could play.

But after impressing in a trial, Norwich have given Spyrou a deal.
