Loanee Plane confident new side can climb table
JAKE Plane believes FC Clacton can quickly start climbing the Thurlow Nunn League table.
The winger has arrived on a month-long loan from neighbours Stanway Rovers and wasted no time in making an impact – scoring on his debut at Godmanchester Rovers on Saturday.
Unfortunately, the Seasiders lost 6-2 and then followed it up with a 1-0 defeat at Felixstowe and Walton on Tuesday, bowing out of the Red Insure Challenge Cup.
However, Plane has already seen enough to be confident he has joined a club with plenty of talent and potential.
“I’ve enjoyed it so far, despite the results,” said the 17-year-old, a product of the Colne Football Academy, in Brightlingsea.
“The boys have welcomed me and I get on with them all.
“I feel comfortable.
“They’re a very good bunch of lads and there’s a lot of quality here.
“There are some very good young players and if they can keep the squad together for two or three years, they’ll develop into a very good side."
