Davies suffers a first-round exit at the Indian Open

ALEX Davies suffered a first-round exit at snooker’s inaugural Indian Open.
The Clacton professional was eliminated after a 4-1 defeat at the hands of Fergal O’Brien.
Davies will now fly directly on to China, where he is set to play an Asian Tour match in Zhengzhou.
Colchester-born Ali Carter decided to pull out of the Indian Open.
The world number 15 and 2013 German Masters champion had been scheduled to play wildcard winner Rod Lawler.
