Various prizes were on offer, including £5,000 for a hole-in-one, and the winners of the team event were club chairman Bert Foster, Bob Foster and Rick Hale, with 121 points.

In second were Ben Rendell, Michael Hewett and Paul Otte, with 119.

The longest drive winner, with an effort of 352 yards, was Richard Bridger, while the nearest the pin honours went to Alf Smith.

The winner of the men’s individual competition was Simon Johnson, with 43 points, on countback from second-placed Dave Lee.

In the ladies’ competition, the winner was Mary Cole, with 40 points, followed by Heather Bradfield, with 37.

In the juniors’ event, the winner was Ben Rendell, with 38 points.

Riley Faulkner was second, with 36.
