Regent produce a five-star performance at Cornard

BRIGHTLINGSEA Regent warmed up for Saturday’s First Division Knockout Cup semi-final at Newmarket by securing another thumping win on Tuesday night.
James Webster’s side ran out 5-0 winners at Cornard United, in Thurlow Nunn League division one, thanks to goals from Jamie Clark, Phil Kelly, Terry Rymer, Ricky Griggs and Ash Sauka.
Last weekend’s match at Braintree Town Reserves was postponed, due a waterlogged pitch at the Amlin Stadium.
Regent stay third in the table, occupying the last promotion space.
